This song opens Country Strong (a movie that I SWEAR is enjoyable even if you’re not into country music—it’s very Britney Spears-downfall-celeb-culture-ish) and I know I should like the original Merle Haggard version better but damn, Garrett Hedlund is dreamy and quite the singer. (Why yes, I do own both soundtracks from the film…)
